What is wellness, and is it right for you?
There are many definitions of wellness. For me, as a wellness coach, it means to go beyond just being physically healthy, but also to be emotionally healthy and resilient, to have a feeling of self worth and purpose, to enjoy mutually supportive and valuable relationships, to achieve your fullest potential.
Wellness is about physical and emotional self-care. It is about actively choosing to build healthy habits that create physical and mental wellbeing.
Wellness is an ongoing process, a personal commitment to make choices in every aspect of your life, which together contribute to a more successful and fulfilled existence. When you create a wellness lifestyle, you make decisions as to whether what you are doing is contributing to or injuring your health and wellbeing.
Growing older is inevitable. We all have to make this journey.
By the time you are in your seventies, you have lived a long and interesting life, have acquired life skills… knowledge… experience.
Not everyone has this good fortune.

I see myself, first and foremost, as a musician. I inherited my love for music from my father and grandmother, and have played and taught the violin for seventy years - and still counting! Always looking for challenging adventures, I have climbed a mountain in Nepal (no, not Everest!), watched massive elephants and curious giraffes on safari in Tanzania, and lived in Mexico for 20 years, playing with a symphony orchestra. Now I am back in the UK, and ready for new adventures and challenges. I feel fortunate to have been brought up in a household where we grew our own veggies and fruit, cooked everything fresh, and organic was an unnecessary word as everything was organic. I am fascinated by the possibilities of nurturing our health and wellbeing, especially for women in their 70s, and have spent the past 15 years or so researching and learning about how to live a holistically healthy life; and love to share my knowledge and guidance with others who are searching for wellness.


How can I help you achieve wellness through my coaching programme?

My mission in creating this course is to help you to love and support yourself safely and joyfully through healthy aging.
There has been an explosion of information available for health and wellbeing, from passing fads to scientifically proven systems. But how are you to know whether a particular form of exercise, or nutritional advice is suitable or appropriate for you?
The 70s should not be a time of fear and anxiety, but a time of celebration and power; your “wise” age.
I designed this coaching specifically for women in their 70s and beyond. I have cut through all the “noise” and prepared lessons from tried and tested to cutting-edge information into bite-sized, practical chunks. Modern science tells us that the adult brain is capable of change and regeneration, can restore connections that have not been used for some time, and enhance cognitive skills. Learning stimulates neuroplasticity, or the ability of the brain to create new neural pathways.
Neurologists advise that you should learn to do something new as often as possible.
The 70 Plus Wellness Coaching course is packed full of ways to keep learning new things.
I have made it easy for you to go, step by step, from overwhelmed to empowered. We all know the “should”, but the “why” makes it easy to build healthy habits and make informed wellness choices.
The coaching course includes multiple ways to achieve your wellness goals, from practical lessons on general healthy habits and how to integrate them into your daily life, to up-to-date new research. There are physical exercises and routines that strengthen the body, and help it to become more flexible and resilient. There is information about nutrition and how to nourish a healthy body and brain. And practical tips for mindset and emotional wellbeing. This is a holistic approach to mental and physical health and wellbeing that will build a cushion of knowledge for you to achieve your fullest potential.
How It Works?
The 70 Plus Wellness Coaching programme includes:
5 Modules - Each Module includes between 7 - 9 lessons.
Every time you begin a new Module, your first action is to book
a personal, individual, live call with me.
The 5 Modules are timed to open up every two weeks,
so that you can pace yourself, go carefully through each lesson,
and incorporate them into your daily life.
Each Module includes information in all areas of wellness.

to cutting edge science-backed strategies,
to zany and fun solutions.

An online course with the personal touch.
Easy to follow, practical, actionable steps, with regular one-to-one personal calls. Your body will thank you for going the extra mile in taking responsibility for your own wellness. One-to-one personal calls keep you motivated and supported.

Why the “WHY” matters
We all know about the “should” in our lives. But keeping to new habits we have created is so much easier when we know the “why”. It takes about two months before behaviours become automatic. Knowing the “why” keeps us on track.
